Chinese analog and mixed-signal IC supplier 3PEAK has launched a new high-precision, four-channel digital-to-analog converter (DAC), the TPC2884. Designed to meet the stringent requirements of industrial automation, PLC/DCS, and process control systems, the chip delivers exceptional accuracy and stability for critical control applications.

The TPC2884 stands out with several leading-edge specifications aimed at solving common industrial design challenges:

  • Superior Accuracy: The device achieves outstanding output precision with a voltage output temperature drift of 0.025% and a current output drift of 0.09% across an extended temperature range of -40°C to 105°C.

  • Robust Power Management: It is optimized for power cycling, with very low transient glitches during power-on/off (0.7mV for voltage, 0.8μA for current), ensuring stable output even during unexpected power loss.

  • Thermal Management: An integrated adaptive power-temperature control solution reduces chip temperature rise by approximately 20°C under a demanding four-channel, 20mA short-circuit condition, significantly enhancing long-term system reliability.
